Lizette Figueroa-Rivera has been working at The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) since 2008, where she currently serves as the Director of Education and Support. Lizette decided to join LLS and focus on assisting patients with blood cancers after her dear friend passed away from leukemia. Lizette has been involved in diversifying LLS’s education offerings to better serve patients’ evolving learning styles and needs. Currently, she moderates the patient education programs and co-hosts the new LLS patient podcast, The Bloodline with LLS. Lizette also oversees support services at LLS, including online chats and personalized nutrition consults. Lizette graduated with her master’s degree in Psychology in 2001.
